FBR has launched an updated of its “Tax Asaan” app for filing salaried and non-salaried tax returns. It allows new taxpayers to register online.
Dr. Hamid Ateeq Sarwar gave a detailed presentation to the Senate Standing Committee on Finance and Revenue.
The new version will cover the assets and income of salaried and non-salaried individuals. He revealed that the revenue watchdog has received over 50,000 salary returns digitally. Thousands of downloads of the app within the first 24 hours of launch.

The hassle-free filing will encourage more and more people to become filer. He said that we now encourage all taxpayers to submit their returns on time.
The updated version of the Tax Asaan app is available in both iOS and Android versions.
Now it is easy for people to register an online account to file the returns. All you have to do is:
- Download the application.
- Go to the e-registration option.
- Provide your particulars and get registered.
- The app will generate a username and password.
- You can log in with these credentials.
